Design language that speaks to the business PC user.

Acer had a reputation for innovation and caring for the customer, but consumer research showed that its existing offering of notebook computers were not consistently reflecting these core brand attributes. Recognizing design as a key part of its strategy to increase global market share, Acer turned to us.

Based on global user and market research, the resulting Folio Design Language is a fresh, new design direction for Acer’s line of notebook PCs derived from the personal business folio. The design responds to the life and work styles of mainstream consumers and business users, while visually communicating Acer’s brand attributes. Introduced on the TravelMate 3200/8100 and Aspire 1800 models, this language has served as the design foundation for an expanding product line, setting Acer’s notebooks apart in a saturated, competitive field.

Already among the world’s top five branded PC vendors, Acer now ranks second in the EMEA Regional PC market and has strengthened its 21.6% market share in the Notebook sector with a 38.8% growth rate (Q4 2006 vs Q4 2005).
