Aerohive HiveAP Wireless Access Point:
Easy monitoring, efficient troubleshooting.
Aerohive came to us to help develop their HiveAP 300 Series, an innovative new class of wireless infrastructure equipment for wireless LAN connectivity in a commercial space.
Their new technology–a cooperative control technology that provides the benefits of a controller-based wireless LAN solution, without requiring a controller or an overlay network–needed to be housed in a form that promoted its benefits to the user while maintaining high functionality. Multiple units needed to feel visually connected when positioned in a group, thus the “hive” terminology.
The HiveAP unit mounts to the walls and ceiling of hospitals, schools, and offices – everywhere a robust wireless infrastructure is needed. The design is minimal and unobtrusive, blending into its environments. The corner of the unit is cut away, revealing the technology layers inside. This view to the inside presents a way to easily communicate vital information. The LED-light strips inform an IT specialist about the status of each line or when there is an error.
